Blackberry Aurora was designed and manufactured by an Indonesian based company BB Merah Putih. It was unveiled at the 2017 Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona. It was the second phone introduced by the Canadian makers in this exhibition after the official launch of the mighty Blackberry KEYone.
Aurora is said to be the first Blackberry device with dual SIM card slot. This Android 7.1 Noughat based device sits on a Snapdragon 425 processor with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage capacity. The storage space can be increased further with external microSD card slot upto 256 GB of space. Aurora is powered by 3000 mAh battery with quick recharge capacity.
Like the Blackberry KEYone, Aurora too has an array of features like Blackberry security software, scratch resistant display, proximity sensor and compass. Aurora gets a 13 megapixel primary camera and 8 megapixel secondary camera with inbuilt selfie sensor. This is a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen smartphone with 720 X 1280 resolution. Aurora is available in Black, Silver and Golden colors.
